Helping babies and children living with this complex cardiac condition

The Charlie Ramsey Research Fund was set up following the birth of our daughter – Charlie Grace Ramsey.

Charlie was born in 2001 with Complex Congenital Cardiac Defects.

The condition that Charlie was born with currently has no medical cure.

Charlie is one of 600 children born each year diagnosed with only half a functioning heart; sadly, some of the children do not survive the surgery offered.

Without research even surgery was not an option for these children, 20 years ago babies born with the condition received palliative care at home. It is for this reason that the charity was set up, to raise money for research. In the hope that one day a cure can be found for all babies and children living with this complex cardiac condition.

The charity was formed after our first fundraising event in June 2002.

On May 1st 2007 Charitable Status was awarded by the Charity Commission
